Royal Merba is the European market leader in private label chocolate chip cookies. With a rich history spanning more than 100 years and a state-of-the-art, highly automated bakery in Oosterhout, Merba produces over 150 million packs of cookies each year for consumers in more than 70 countries worldwide.

In July 2025, Gilde partnered with Merba. Together, they are now embarking on the next growth phase, aimed at accelerating international expansion beyond the current core European markets. Strategic investments in product development, capacity expansion, and sustainable production will support these ambitions.
