Licent

Licent is a full-service insurance intermediary offering a wide range of insurance and financial services to more than 56,000 customers in the Netherlands. Licent has been formed through the unique and simultaneous buy-out of 16 independent insurance intermediaries creating a prominent market player. The insurance intermediaries have been working together closely for more than 20 years based on a shared culture and ambition. Never before have so many independent insurance brokers been united at the same time. The merger created one new company with a top-25 position in the Netherlands, thirty locations and over 300 employees. Licent’s ambition in the coming years is to grow into the market-leading insurance intermediary in the Netherlands, with optimal customer service at its core.

In 2023, Gilde was welcomed as shareholder of Licent. Together with the management and entrepreneurs of Licent, the next growth phase was initiated with the aim to further strengthen Licent’s market leading position and accelerate its growth ambitions. Since then, more than 20 strong, independent insurance advisory firms have joined Licent, each a high-quality firm with deep roots in their local and regional communities.
