Boboli

Boboli, originally founded in 1999 and based in Bunschoten-Spakenburg, produces focaccia specialty breads and artisanal Mediterranean savory snacks.

Boboli realizes more than EUR 60 million in sales and bakes over 75 million products per year and employs c. 200 FTE. The company’s customers include leading retailers, discounters and foodservice companies located in North-western Europe and in the US. Boboli’s hand-shaped frozen bake-off products are used by in-store bakeries for on-the-go consumption and its chilled bake-off products are sold for consumption at home.

The company benefits from numerous supportive food and retail trends including premiumization, snacking and on-the-go convenience.

In 2017, the founder of Boboli and management welcomed Gilde as a solid growth partner to invest in the international expansion of the business. An important first step in further strengthening the company’s unique position was the construction of a state-of-the -art third bakery. In the years that followed, Boboli achieved a strong phase of international growth, supported by continuous investments in product innovation and the development of new products in close collaboration with its customers.

After a partnership of nearly ten years, Boboli joined Lantmännen, one of Europe’s largest bakery groups and a Swedish agricultural cooperative, marking a new phase of further international growth.
