D&M Coatings

D&M Coatings produces and delivers high-grade coating systems to the carpentry, furniture and light metal industry in North-western Europe. It also manufactures and sells professional paint coatings and road paint. The company's paint factory in Veenendaal ranks among the most advanced in Europe. A strong focus on R&D ensures D&M's products are continually enhanced and refined. The company formerly comprised an important part of the Coatings Division of Hickson International plc.

It passed into the hands of the management team and Gilde in 1997, following a management buy-out. The spin off allowed D&M to strengthen its position in Germany and Eastern Europe. The company expanded further in 2003, when it acquired a division of French operator PPG.

Gilde sold D&M Coatings to SigmaKalon in 2005.
