De Banketgroep

De Banketgroep is a private label producer of (chocolate) caramel waffles, fresh egg waffles and a broad assortment of other pastry products. The company was created by Gilde in July 2007 through the merger of Bakkersland Banket and Van der Breggen. The largest customer group for De Banketgroep consists of large European supermarket chains that, in addition to offer increasingly qualitative products, are also very competitive on price. The two companies acquired in 2007 were individually less equipped to deliver innovative products with the right quality and price.
Within the newly created combination, the entire product development, factory organization as well as sales approach was redefined and strengthened. Over a period of nine years, De Banketgroep has grown from a traditional local pastry company to one of the leading European pastry players with a strong focus on waffles. In 2016, De Banketgroep joined forces with France-based Poult to create an internationally leading cake and pastry player.
