Ad van Geloven is market leader in frozen snacks, including traditional Dutch croquettes, Frikadellen, Bitterballen, spring rolls and cheese soufflés. The majority of turnover is generated in the out-of-home segment. Ad van Geloven's objective is to produce the highest quality snacks at the lowest possible cost. The organization was spun off by Greencore in 2001, enabling it to acquire Van Lieshout snacks from Unilever in 2002.
The acquisition complements Ad van Geloven's frozen snack product range perfectly, adding the best-selling snack in the Netherlands - Frikadel – to an already impressive product offer.
The organizational integration of Van Lieshout resulted in significant cost synergies. The sale of Ad van Geloven was finalized in 2004.
