AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, June 7, 2016 – EV-Box, global market leader in electric vehicle charging solutions (EVCS), has appointed Jurgen Hoogeveen as Managing Director for its Netherlands business.

Mr. Hoogeveen will lead EV-Box’s business efforts in The Netherlands, overseeing the company’s strategic direction, while continuing to capitalise on EV-Box’s strength in the Dutch public and business EV charging market, and further developing its position in the home charging market.

Mr. Hoogeveen brings a wealth of sales and management experience to EV-Box, which he has gained over a long and successful career in leading hardware, ICT products and consultancy-based organisations through various stages of growth.

Starting his career as an Account Executive at Bellmicro Systems. Mr. Hoogeveen then moved on to spearheading commercial and sales strategy for organisations like Inter Access, CSC, Logica, and Imtech.

In 2013, Mr. Hoogeveen became the CCO of Nspyre, a leading IT service provider, where he was elected as the most influential commercial leader of the year by the Sales Management Association (SMA) in August 2015. Nspyre became part of Altran in January 2016. Mr. Hoogeveen kept his CCO position, and will be moving from Altran to EV-Box as of July 1st.

A strategic move to solidify domestic market share

Kristof Vereenooghe, CEO of EV-Box, said: "We are delighted to welcome Mr. Hoogeveen to EV-Box and look forward to using the breadth and depth of his experience to take our relationships in the Dutch market to the next level. He joins at an important time for the company, as we’re rapidly expanding internationally, while ensuring that we keep on being a reference within the EV charging and e-mobility industry in The Netherlands.”

“With great pleasure, I'm looking forward to my new role at EV-Box. I’m utterly impressed with EV-Box’s charging solutions and its innovative technology. I’m also enthusiastic about the adoption of electric vehicles in The Netherlands. In 2015, about 8% of all car sales were electric, meaning there’s an increase of interests in driving electric. The chance to actively shape the EV drivers’ lifestyle, and to ensure EV-Box builds a reliable, safe and smart charging infrastructure at every potential parking spot in our home country, is a very empowering challenge for me”, says Jurgen Hoogeveen.
