He will be replaced at the helm by Kees Krikke, allowing Banketgroep to sharpen its focus on expansion in the domestic as well as neighbouring European markets. Banketgroep's core products comprise caramel waffles, soft waffles, cake and seasonal products.
Banketgroep has made considerable progress in recent years. The aforementioned improvement strategy has culminated in a well-defined organisation structure, the installation of a strong management team, and healthy financial results. Further sizeable investments will be made in group production facilities in order enable the company to continue its course.
Ronald Poos: "we're proud of what's been achieved so far. Banketgroep has been transformed to a stable, successful organisation. The next stage in its development calls for a different management style. My ambitions and experience lie elsewhere, and I will focus my attentions on other activities. I have informed the Supervisory Board that I intend step down in favour of a successor with the knowledge and experience required to take Banketgroep to the next level."
Having held a range of management positions at CSM, Hero and De Drie Molllen since 1991, Kees Krikke has extensive experience in the food and beverage industry: "Banketgroep is a healthy and dynamic organisation. There are opportunities in the market, and I look forward to expanding our operations over the coming years." Krikke assumed control on 1 May 2014.
Banketgroep produces authentic Dutch cake and pastry products, enjoys a strong position in the domestic market, and is ideally positioned to seize promising opportunities in (new) export markets. The organisation was founded in July 2007, following the merger of Bakkersland Banket and Van der Breggen.
